ABout US

One Shot, a 501(c)(3) Christian non-profit organization, was founded in 2022 in honor of the late Benali Khan Marshall Jr., also known as Ben or B.J.  Benali transitioned from this life during a single car wreck on July 21, 2021, at the tender age of 18.

The name, One Shot, has a two-fold meaning; it represents the chances we have at living this life and an ode to Ben's love for basketball.

The vision of our organization is to inspire people all over the world to live life using every opportunity granted to us by God with purpose.

WHO

One Shot Memorial Organization is here to help others live life capitalizing on every opportunity given. Since tomorrow is not promised we must live intentionally every day!

One Shot is a refuge of hope for hurting families of deceased children, providing free spiritual grief and trauma counseling sessions with licensed and experienced counselors.

What

One Shot takes part in humanitarian outreach and community services to benefit youth and families. We plan to provide athletic camps and services as well as other educational enhancements in the form of after-school programs.

One Shot will provide an annual scholarship to a deserving, thriving young man on the Goose Creek Memorial Men's Basketball team, Benali's high school alma mater!

Why

One thing Ben did consistently was live for today. From having a dance party while walking down the street to dressing up and going out to dinner on a Tuesday. For him, every moment mattered. We want to carry on that legacy!
